Little Red Riding Hood- Thesis Part 2: 2D TV animation style
This project is one of three visual components for my MFA animation thesis. In it, I take the original story of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and create designs that would suit three different genres styles or markets. For this version, I’m creating work that would fit a 2D made-for-television serialized cartoon.
In this variation of the story, Red Riding Hood is set to inherit the forest she and her grandmother live on. The wolf is the scheming industrialist, desperate to get his hands on the land to complete his monopoly. The resulting episodes are in a ‘Spy vs. Spy’ style, with Red and the wolf constantly foiling the other’s plans.
This represents a project in three parts. The other two involve taking the same core material and characters and applying them to CGI feature films and an action video game, and can be seen in the other galleries.
